This is Discedo. It used to be a town but got wrecked by a virus called Atropos, and maybe also got torn up by some kind of war with a neighbor-city, Accido.

Everyone arrives here now pretty much like you did, and its some idiot scientists controlling everyone, deciding who comes and goes. They usually don't talk to us unless to poke fun, so...steer clear of them. We don't really know why we're here, they've been pretty vague about practically everything important.

Hunting. You know. With a sword or a knife or a gun.

Kind of. So do you just roam around finding civilization, or what? And all these cans and stuff... in those empty buildings? So you can just loot the places, pretty much?

Sword, knife or gun... none of which made the weapons menu, obviously.

Hah, civilization? In Discedo? We've barely got that. But no one'll stop you from looting the place, yeah, and we even think these Scientists with their headgames fill the place back up now and then, otherwise we'd have run out long ago.

So basically play along with this dumb survival game like the rest of us, till we can find out enough of where they are and what they're made of to take them out and make them send whoever wants to go back home.

Too bad for you then, you'll need to get one made. Find enough good metal and go see one of the Elric brothers.

Some of us don't have much to call a home to start with, so...and some people here are supposed to be dead where they're from. So I don't know how that would work out, trying to go back.

Well, Shinji'll feed you if you work for him, and Nani has kind of a soup kitchen thing, and there's the Cooking Club at the school, and then there's the Hunting Brigade. We bring in most of the meat and stuff.

You just join! We go out like once a week or something like that, and kill a bunch of monsters. The ones we can eat, I mean, like the mad cows outside of town and stuff.
